About

Stephen Calhoun
A hobbyist graphic designer since a friend literally gave me the original Macintosh in 1985, my visual interests expanded to include both web and graphic design (as principal of Hippiegoat Design,) painting, photography, digital collage, and, over the last six years, expanded again by my being a “grabber” of frames taken from motion captures of various generative procedures programed by, well, programmers. This last endeavor usually attaches to a novel rubric I came up with: Appropriated Random Kitsch; or, ARK.
Making art (or ‘art-like,’) graphics is, to me, very much like making my music. It is enough so that I would say that, for me, creating visual pieces is a musical process.
